First Grade Fun

May 12 was our first grade field trip day. We watched the movie Monsters vs. Aliens. All of the students really enjoyed the movie. After the movie, we went to the Jamestown City Park. The students had a picnic lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon in the wonderful sunshine. The students had a great time just playing with their friends. Thanks Mrs. Misty for taking such wonderful photos of us!!

"What a busy day!"

The first grade was very, very busy today.
First, the "poem fairy" fluttered in and gave out surprises to those who had poems in their pockets.
After lunch, high school students came over and gave the class a spanish lesson.
Finally, the winners to the poetry contest were announced. Congratulations Jada, Keyton, and Evan.

After two days of excitement we are proud to announce that we hatched 21 chicks. They are all doing well!

We have 8 chicks!

We have watched the eggs all day and now we finally have 8 chicks!

"Baby Chicks"

The first grade placed 36 eggs in the incubator today. Hopefully, in 21 days we will have baby chicks!
